When we arrived we were all so excited. Pizza Express was in the Forum. The doors to enter the Forum were spinning doors, this was a new thing for us as we had never seen it before. Some of us got stuck in the door! When we finally got into the Forum we went in a lift. It was very fun, we weren't too sure if everyone would fit in, but we did.
When we got to Pizza Express, we were greeted by the head chef. He had set out aprons and hats for us all, even the teachers.
The head chef then talked to us about our pizzas. He gave us a tray that was circular
with dough already rolled out. He then asked us to put a spoonful of tomato sauce in the middle of our pizza, we then had to move our pizzas around to ensure that the sauce covers the base. This part was very difficult.
Next, we chose our toppings. We had a selection of: cheese, olives, onions, mushrooms and pepperoni.
We could have whatever topping we wanted. We only used a handful of cheese because we didn't need too much.
After we had placed our toppings onto our pizzas, we wrote our names on a piece of paper and carefully placed them on top. The head chef then came over and put them in the oven.
Whilst we were waiting, we were given some activitiy books to complete. The pizzas didn't take very long to cook.
We had lots of spare time after we made pizzas so we walked downstairs and went to the children's library. We got to listen to and read some books!
We noticed that there was a craft fair just outside of the library. We went in groups to have a look at what was going on.
We found some very interesting things.
We saw another stand where a group of ladies were make dolls out of wool. A few of us had a go at doing this. We even added some clothes out of different material.
The final stand we saw (there were lots of other stands but we didn't get the chance to see them all) was a group of ladies making friendship bracelets. The way they made it was very interesting. We got to take these home and finish them.
Very soon it was time to go home.
We had a lovely time at the forum in Norwich. We really enjoyed making our pizzas, visiting the library and making some crafts.
